December always invites a pause.

Before the rush of a new year and before looking ahead to what comes next, we like to take a moment to look back — not at figures or forecasts, but at the moments that shaped the last twelve months.

And what a year it’s been.

Back in January, we experienced a moment that still feels quite surreal: a visit from Her Royal Highness The Princess of Wales. It was a real honour to welcome her and share what we do — a highlight that set the tone for the year in the loveliest way. It reminded us that even the everyday work we take quietly seriously can still feel very special when given a moment to shine.

But beyond that extraordinary occasion, it’s been the smaller, steadier moments that have meant the most.

December - A Small Team, A Busy Season
The year comes full circle and our small team are working hard to fulfil all of your wonderful online orders in time for Christmas.

Over the last 12 months of 2025 we’ve welcomed new customers discovering us for the first time, alongside familiar faces who’ve been returning for years — sometimes decades. We’ve had conversations at the counter at our factory shop, kind words shared in passing, and thoughtful feedback that reminds us why we do what we do. Those moments don’t make headlines, but they matter deeply to us.

This year also reinforced something we’ve always believed: people value quality, care, and things made to last. In a world that often moves fast, it’s encouraging to know there’s still appreciation for craftsmanship, comfort, and doing things properly.

Of course, every year brings its challenges too, but 2025 reminded us that consistency, community, and a bit of quiet resilience go a long way. Showing up each day, putting care into our work, and staying true to our values has never felt more worthwhile.

So, as the year draws to a close, we simply want to say thank you.

Thank you to our customers old and new. Thank you for supporting us, for choosing us, for recommending us, and for being part of our story — whether you purchased from us once or many times. We never take that support for granted.

This isn’t a promotion or a call to action. Just a moment of gratitude.

As we look ahead to the new year, we do so with pride in what’s gone before and quiet excitement for what’s still to come. For now, though, we hope December brings you space to reflect, rest, and enjoy the moments that matter most.

Thank you for being part of our year. We look forward to welcoming you again soon. You can read more from our journal here.
