The most important part of our collaboration with Monkstone Knitwear is that we respect the ever-changing environment of Trevayne Farm and yarn from Monkstone flock, Pembrokeshire. This collection is handcrafted here at Corgi and the whole process is 100% traceable from flock to finished garment. The fashion miles of this collection is 80 miles from farm to factory.
The design process is linked with the farming methods of the principles of permaculture. Monkstone Knitwear's new gwlân (wool) project brings local Pembrokeshire farms together to ensure they get a better price for their wool. We loved working with this farm as the design methods are sustainable and natural, enhancing the biodiversity of the natural source. It's low impact and local.
